Faith Forward Services

A Faith Liberation Initiative

Faith Forward Services is a faith liberation initiative dedicated to helping churches build sustainable mental health ministries and providing care to those healing from religious trauma.

We believe faith spaces can be both sacred and safe—and we walk alongside leaders and individuals committed to making that possible.

Our mission is to move people and communities of faith forward—toward healing, sustainability, and justice-centered care.

Two Pathways of Support:

Faith Liberation Consulting

For churches, worship spaces, and faith-based organizations

I partner with ministries that are ready to deepen their commitment to mental wellness, healing justice, and community care. Whether you’re developing a mental health ministry from the ground up or shifting your culture to become more trauma-informed and accountable, we walk with you every step of the way.

Services Include:

• Strategic planning for mental health ministry initiatives

• Guidance on culture shifts, inclusive language, and leadership practices

• Support for navigating spiritual harm and burnout within faith spaces

• Trauma-informed training for clergy, staff, and leadership teams

• Connection to culturally competent mental health providers and resources

Faith Liberation Clinical Care

For individuals healing from religious or spiritual trauma

I provide trauma-informed therapy for those navigating harm caused by spiritual communities, toxic theology, or religious institutions. This work is about reclaiming your voice, your body, and your sense of belonging—without pressure to choose between your faith and your healing.

Focus Areas Include:

• Healing from church harm and spiritual abuse

• Reclaiming identity and agency in the aftermath of religious trauma

• Deconstructing with compassion and curiosity

• Rebuilding trust in self, community, and the sacred

• Culturally grounded support for Black women and marginalized communities

Faith Liberation Therapy Intensives

For some individuals, the work of healing from spiritual harm requires more than a traditional 50–60 minute therapy session.

Faith Liberation Therapy Intensives provide extended, focused time to explore the impact of religious trauma, fear-based theology, and inherited spiritual beliefs in a supportive therapeutic environment.

These intensives are designed for individuals who want space to move more intentionally through questions related to faith, identity, and spiritual autonomy.

In a Faith Liberation Intensive, we may explore:

• the impact of fear-based religious teachings
• spiritual shame and internalized messages about worthiness
• the loss of religious community and belonging
• the process of faith deconstruction or reconstruction
• reconnecting with spiritual values in ways that feel life-giving

Rather than rushing these conversations across many weeks of therapy, intensives create space for deeper reflection, emotional processing, and integration.

Clients who feel ready to engage in this work may schedule a Faith Liberation Intensive as part of their therapeutic care.
