Kimberly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She studied at Meredith College for undergraduate school where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She continued her education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her Master's Degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Health and Mental Health. Her experience includes work in medical settings, for profit, and non-profit organizations. She has worked in management positions as a clinical director and private practice settings as an outpatient therapist. Her most extensive experience has been in direct practice settings working with children, adolescents, and families. Kimberly has received specialized training and experience working with children and adolescents who have been exposed to trauma. She is also well-versed in crisis management and stabilization. Kimberly is very passionate about the therapeutic process and values the opportunity to work in partnership with her clients. She's a firm believer in treating others with dignity and respect.
Kimberly's areas of specialization include work with adolescents, families, and young adults. She has experience working with clients with diagnoses including ADHD, anxiety, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and trauma. Kimberly operates from a strengths based, client centered approach. Though she values challenging her clients, she also believes in meeting her clients where they are and working together to establish treatment objectives and interventions that will help the client reach his or her goals.
